Ramadhani
received a $25 tenth payment.
"Even though we live on a plot of land, I constantly feel that it is insufficient for our heritage. We are six brothers, and obtaining a larger parcel of land would be advantageous to us in the long run. As a result, I intend to save money to purchase a piece of property. Because we do not have a father, I believe getting a second plot will be extremely useful to the family. I also want to further my education by enrolling in a mechanic course so that I can consistently support my family."

Rukia
received a $25 tenth payment.
"I have a strong desire to increase my investments in cows and chickens. I am already involved in these ventures, but I would love to expand my investment further in order to save money for my children's future, specifically to cover their secondary education fees. By investing more in these areas, I hope to secure the financial resources necessary to support my children's educational journey."

Shida
received a $25 tenth payment.
"The house we're currently living in is mud walled. With time, the walls fall off and as it is now, the house is weak and is on the verge of collapsing. My plan is to build a permanent house for my family of five. To be able to do this, I need to have a large sum of money but I am glad that GiveDirectly transfer will come in handy. This is because we will pool our transfer with my spouse and top up with some savings that I have. Having a permanent house will mean that we live in a more comfortable house with less fears of the house breaking down especially at night. Maintaining it is also less costly and it’s easier to always maintain it clean."

"My hope is to witness my children successfully complete their education. As a means of generating income to cover their school fees, I have traditionally invested in cows. However, I aspire to expand my investments in cows in order to provide better financial support for my family."

Hadija
received a $25 fourteenth payment.
"I've been saving at least $10 per month on our local merry-go-round, and my plan is to start a small household items business. I've been making ends meet by working odd jobs and selling and burning charcoal, neither of which pays well. My husband works casual construction jobs, which have so far been insufficient to meet our family's needs. I believe that by starting the business, I will be able to generate a good income that will allow me to easily meet the needs of my family. As a result, I intend to save more money each month and contribute my own funds to start the business in the near future."

Kache
received a $25 tenth payment.
"The goal that I would like to achieve is to start livestock rearing. With four children and no reliable source of income, I would like to venture into livestock keeping so that in the future, I would not need to struggle with the issues of school fees payments. I would spend the transfers that I would be receiving on buying goats and being hopeful that they would bear offspring and increase in number."

Mangale
received a $25 sixth payment.
"I had intended to save money and use my transfer to enroll in a mechanic course. Though my original ambition was thwarted by my arrest, I am still hopeful. Once I have a consistent income, I will be able to start saving my earnings and utilize them to pursue a mechanics course. I value the mechanic course because it will provide me with skills that will allow me to earn a consistent income to support my family. As a result, if I complete the mechanic course, taking care of my family will no longer be a challenge."

Chadi
received a $25 fourteenth payment.
"My new goal is to renovate my house by adding a single-room extension to make it more spacious. It is currently very small and cannot accommodate my children; I even have to squeeze my items to get some space. For this purpose, I intend to begin purchasing building materials such as iron sheets and building poles. I've been farming, and things are going well. I believe I'll have enough harvest to feed my family. I will no longer have to pay for food, which will allow me to save money for my home renovation project."

Mudhengi
received a $25 fourteenth payment.
"I have four children who are currently enrolled in school, and it has been difficult for me to raise funds for their education. Receiving financial assistance from GiveDirectly has been extremely beneficial because I have been able to pay fees on time thus far. I am a subsistence farmer with no income, and I rely heavily on the transfer to pay for my children's school fees. By avoiding late fees, I intend to use the transfers to ensure that my children receive the best education possible. This will ensure that my children stay in school and that their education is not disrupted due to fees."

Sakina
received a $25 tenth payment.
"Givedirectly has changed my life greatly since coming in. I took a solar powered system to light my home and now my children do not have to forego doing their homework due to oil insufficiencies. We used to use a oil lamp but the cost was so high and having a solar powered lamp has removed that cost from me. I however to the system on loan and so I am yet to pay the remaining $12 for the system. I hope to use Givedirectly transfers to reduce this debt and eventually become debt free as I enjoy the benefits of this system. I am also saving to get goats which for me will be an emergency fund especially for my children’s school."
