Rehema
received a $392 second payment.
"The unconditionality and nonpayment of the transfers fascinate me. This gives one room to decide to spend the transfers without the fear of having to return the money since it is not a loan but a grant. Additionally, the field staff are respectful and not discriminatory by any means, as they consider all the villagers equal. At the moment, I have not seen any weakness in the organization, and I wish them to continue with their way of working."

Brian
received a $26 ninth payment.
"I have been planning to join college. Therefore, I hope to accomplish this by saving most of the monthly transfers. When that savings build up, raising my college fee will be easy. I opted for this because my mother is often overwhelmed to take care of the family. She is a jobless widow who over-rely on burning charcoal to feed her children. We have been living in hardship since my father died in 2005. Once I manage to attain a college education, I will be able to have skills that can help me acquire a job and work to improve the living standard of my mother and my siblings."

Hamisi
received a $26 thirteenth payment.
"I hope to accomplish paying off my motorcycle this year. My primary aim is to ensure that the ownership is transferred to me. Consequently, my income will increase, and supporting my family will no longer be stressful. My secondary objective is to keep goats after paying off my motorcycle. Goats are valuable live assets, especially for people without a stable source of income. In the future, I will sell them to raise cash for my personal development and my children's educational needs."

"My main objective is to build a new house. The existing one has a rusty iron sheet roof that is old and leaks. I hope to spend my transfers to buy building materials in bits to get beyond this obstacle that puts me in danger of acute cold during the rains. They will assist me in constructing a new house. Aside from that, I also want to start raising livestock. I do not currently have any, but I am hoping that with the help of transfers from GiveDirectly, I will start raising goats and cows. If my family takes good care of them, it is a viable investment that will benefit my family for years after the transfer."

Happy
received a $392 second payment.
"With the existence of the current business, I look forward to saving more to expand it to have a boutique where I will be selling a variety of women's cosmetics products and accessories. To add that, I am very knowledgeable about hair products and hairdressing styles and so the thought of having a salon business is also something to consider so that whenever the boutique or the shop is not generating income as expected then I will be using my skills on hairdressing to fill the financial gap. With this achievement then I will be able to give my children a good and worthy life as they pursue their education. I would have also created employment in the case where I will have to hire a person or persons to assist in running the business. Also not forgetting, the whole community at large will benefit in one way or the other."

"I am very pleased that Give Directly considers offering financial assistance to individuals who are still financially challenged, and on top of that, we were given free money to spend in the best way possible, giving many of us the opportunity to solve our own financial difficulties in our own method and plan."

Sidi
received a $407 second payment.
"My long-term goal has been to invest in livestock. I'd like to start a dairy farm in addition to the goats I now have. Based on this, I'll make sure to accomplish this goal as soon as I have some money. After seeing how lucrative the milk business is, I came up with this objective. Due to how demanding the breed is, most people dislike owning dairy cows. Because they buy milk from providers who are far away, these individuals will therefore rank as my top potential clientele."

Linet
received a $392 second payment.
"When I got the second transfer, building a shelter for my kids was my top priority. My house was too small and crowded to hold my family of seven, so I decided to build one for them. They used to ask friends for shelter for a while, which did not make me feel better, thus explaining why I made the choice I did. I spent $49 on 70 constructing poles, and since I already owned 8 iron sheets, I merely added 10 more for $93. The additional supplies and labor costs from the contractor totaled $155 in total. After that, I spent $128 on a bed and mattress because my previous sleeping arrangements included a little mat and a sisal rope bed, both of which were very unpleasant. I'm content right now because my kids have their own house and do not need to stay with friends anymore. For my five children, who were always in and out of school due to school fees, I managed to pay a $100 tuition fee. They are currently enrolled in school and working on their education, which makes me delighted."

received a $407 second payment.
"Since I already have a piece of land, I would like to build a rental house and open a kiosk as well. I am planning to borrow a loan from the Chama that I recently joined. Once I succeed, I believe that I will be able to provide for my family despite our financial constraints and support my spouse in paying the school fees for our two children."

Mariam
received a $26 ninth payment.
"From the beginning of this year, my main goal was to buy a new mattress. I have therefore been working on that by building up my savings toward the same. Acquiring a better mattress will relieve me from the pain that I have been bearing while using an old mattress. Secondly, I had a goal of supporting my husband's business to make him have a reliable source of income. Because I have three school-going children, I also aim to raise goats which will give me an avenue of raising fees for them as they advance with their academics."
