"In the next one year and beyond, I hope that I will get some casual work that will enable me do more business. Right now, I still depend on odd casual jobs to put food on the table for my family. I am also a widow which means that everyone in the family looks up to me to meet the needs of family. Once the rains fall, I will be able to start a grocery business that will be quite profitable and that will make my family's living standards to rise. I am to this far very grateful to GiveDirectly for the support."

"As it is true that all that has a beginning always has its end, I know that GiveDictly's program will soon come to an end. Therefore, I have a goal of prioritizing some investments. Since the most viable venture in our region is livestock keeping, I aim to buy additional two goats this year. When they increase in number after a given period, I shall be able to have some source of income. It will be simple for me to start raising cows after selling some goats. In addition, I want to build a kitchen so that my kids may have a place to hang out when they become older in addition to using it for cooking."

"In my opinion, GiveDirectly does very well by giving support in form of cash. Looking at the things that I have been able to achieve makes me very happy and content. I would not have for example been able to buy some piece of land had I not been given the freedom to choose how to spend the money. I look forward to achieving even much more after the motivation drawn from the things I was able to do after receiving this transfer. I did not find anything with GiveDirectly that I thought could have been done in any better way than it was done. Everything went well with all their operations."

Charo received a $28 fourteenth payment.
"Because of the meager income my wife and I realize from burning and selling charcoal, we have been thinking about other alternative income sources. Therefore, as I continue to receive my transfer this year, my primary goal is to raise a herd of cattle. This goal comes second to supporting my children's education. I have five goats that I have bought with the previous transfers. However, I aim to buy more before the current ones begin to reproduce. I would wish to build a new house. The current one is old, and one side is falling off. It will shield my family from extreme weather conditions due to unpredictable weather patterns."

"By the end of this year, I want to build a big, coral made stone house for my family. The one we have right now is small and it is made of wood. The transfers we received from GiveDirectly, we made sure we expanded all our business so that will make huge profit to cover all our family's needs and meet all our expenses."

"Give Directly will eternally remain in my heart for helping me keep all my children in school last year. Am sure the case would have been reversed if I would have only depended on my business of selling sardines to raise their school fees. It goes without saying that giving unconditional cash transfers to needy people is what the organization does best. My only wish is that they could have extended the support a little bit longer. At least my two children, who are currently stranded at home, would have had an opportunity to return to class this year. "

"Through the cash transfers, I built a spacious house and kept Kazungu in college. These accomplishments would have otherwise not been possible were it not for Give Directly. Hence, according to me, the act of giving money to needy people is the greatest to have ever been done by Give Directly. I would not say there is anything wrong with how the organization operates. "

"The cash transfers allowed me to secure two goats, which later increased to three after one of them gave birth. Though I believe that the herd will expand when these goats reproduce, I would be happier if I bought more to grow the number further. My aim is to exchange some of them for cattle later. Altogether, am certain these animals will raise enough money in the future to cover my needs. "

"My goal is to continue supporting the education of my five children, three of whom are currently in secondary school and two in elementary school. I would be happy if I supported them all through all their levels of education up to the university level. Though my only source of income is the kiosk business that my husband operates, I trust that it will grow in the future to raise enough school fees for the children. "
