Katana
received a $21 eighteenth payment.
"I do not want my education from college to go at a loss. If my parents had the financial muscle to take care of my school fees I would redirect the money from the transfers into purchasing a tool box to help me become a professional carpenter for hire. I would want to venture into the business but I will need to first use my transfers to clear my debts at school and finish my last term at the college and then maybe with money from work I will do I can now think about venturing on my own."

Priscilar
received a $21 eighteenth payment.
"I have been buying chicken over a course of time, I bought chicken in January and also in November. I have a plan that I hope will be able to provide me with emergency funds. I am unemployed, My husband is a construction worker working on a casual basis. He only makes money when he secures work and that is not as often as we would want. I want to buy chicken which will hatch eggs that will become chicks and when they are all grown up the cycle continues. This means that incase we get emergencies such as health or school related we can sell the chicken and pay for those services."

Jumaa
received a $21 eighteenth payment.
"I can confidently say my business has improved greatly, my earnings have also improved greatly. I had hoped that this business would be restocked that the business is able to stand on its own. I would want to add stock to the point I am not worried if the business is able to stand on its own. I am still planning to continue adding to the business to the point that it can run and restock itself. I also want to start animal farming but this will be dependent on the finances I have."

"I believe it is possible to fulfill your dreams when you put your mind to it. I now have a clear set plan with my business idea. I have calculated an estimated that I will need about $1500 total to start this business. This is a lot of money even with the transfers. I plan to save till early next year where I will use whatever I have in savings to accomplish that dream and plan to expand as the business runs. I will continue savings with the village savings group to ensure my money is not redirected to anything else. This will allow me to marry as at now I am yet to marry due to my financial status."

"I am a single mother, I live at home with my mother and we were recently joined by my sister who recently separated from her husband. My main source of income is the money I make from selling wine I buy from wine tappers. My income is not as being and hence having this transfers to compliment it really makes a difference. I plan to buy more animals using this transfers and use them as an emergency fund. If my child is sent from school I can sell the animal and cover that need."

Prisca
received a $279 third payment.
"I am grateful for the support that brought about significant transformation, improved living conditions, and facilitated the payment of school fees for children. Additionally, it changed the mindset of many in terms of investments, with a notable impact on the youth who acquired motorbikes that have not only kept them busy but also become a lucrative source of income. Everything went smoothly, as per the information we received from the start. GiveDirectly has maintained their commitment, and hopefully, they will continue the good work in other villages they are yet to visit."
