Janet
received a $433 second payment.
"What does GiveDirectly do best you ask? Uplift! Plain and simple! Without GiveDirectly going out of their way to ensure they serve others, I fear to think where many recipients, such as myself would have ended up. All I would ask is that they consider also registering boda boda riders into the programme as we have so many around who are in dire need of assistance that GiveDirectly gives"

received a $433 second payment.
"GiveDirectly excels at giving hope to the hopeless. If it were not for GiveDirectly I wouldn't have achieved all I have, with the pride I felt planning my own money and without oversight. I would love for GiveDirectly representatives to visit physically and see the transformation that has arisen from their fine work. I feel it's better than talking over the phone, since you as an organisation will truly see just how much you have been a blessing to us. My only advise/request would be that GiveDirectly never stop their good work and continue to be that friend that we all need in times of despair."

Shida
received a $433 second payment.
"The village I come from is filled with happy faces nowadays. Why you wonder? GiveDirectly. I am yet to see a programme, nor an organisation, that has transformed lives more than GiveDirectly has in my community. I would ask that they continue to be the light in so many of its recipients lives and that they consider increasing both frequency and amount of transfers ,both to new and past recipients."

"Water comes from uphill especially during the rainy season and destroys most of our crops especially beans. It also destroys the grass that we plant for our animals to eat. After destruction of our crops, we are faced with hunger since the food we would have gotten is destroyed."
