"In the coming year, my focus is to invest in goat farming and build a stable source of income for my family. After completing the construction of my house, which has been my priority, I plan to save $25 every month to buy more goats. Right now, I only have one goat, but I dream of expanding into a small herd. Goats are a smart investment because they are easy to maintain and reproduce quickly. Beyond that, my goal is to grow the herd steadily and eventually sell some of them to fund my children’s education and improve our living standards. Goat farming will secure our future and provide us with a safety net during difficult times."

"In the coming year, my main goal is to concentrate on building a safe and secure house for my children. Their safety and comfort mean everything to me, and having a proper home will protect them from harsh weather and other dangers. Each month, I will dedicate $20 from my transfers toward purchasing building materials, step by step, until my dream becomes a reality. By the end of the year, I hope to see the walls rise and the roof firmly in place. Beyond this year, my vision is to finish the house completely, creating a warm and stable environment where my children can grow, learn, and dream without fear."

"My spouse and I are peasant farmers, and occasionally we burn and sell charcoal to support our children. Now that we are benefiting from GiveDirectly transfers, I have decided to make a permanent financial investment that will help me pay my children's school fees and provide some support for the medical care of my sick, disabled child. Currently, I have thirty-four goats and sheep. I initially bought fifteen goats and a few sheep, and fortunately, they have multiplied, with some even giving birth to twins. That's how I now have a total of thirty-four livestock.
In the coming year and beyond, I want to invest in acquiring a dairy cow. I believe that if I sell around four goats, I will be able to purchase a good dairy cow. My reason for diversifying into dairy is that cows multiply quickly once a mature cow is acquired. Additionally, I will have milk for both domestic and commercial use, which will help provide for my family's basic needs and cover my child's medical expenses once the transfers end.
With my monthly transfers, I also plan to invest part of the funds in buying more goats and using some for family consumption. I am thankful for this support."

"My greatest desire has always been to have a substantial herd of livestock, consisting of a variety of animals, as well as a flock of chickens. I also dream of owning a shop where I will sell household consumables. To work towards these goals, I have been using a portion of my previous transfers to buy goats and chickens, and I plan to use my future transfers to buy even more. My hope is that these animals will multiply, allowing me to trade some of them for dairy cows. These cows will also multiply, and I will be able to sell their milk and earn something to support my family. Eventually, I will sell some of these animals to help fund the shop I hope to own. With these plans in place, I believe I will have secured a better future for my family, especially when it comes to their education. I am deeply thankful for this support. It has given me the opportunity to work towards building a better life for my family, and I am hopeful for what the future holds."

"My mother's house is old and on the verge of collapsing, and it has been my greatest desire to bless her with a new, better home. To make this dream a reality, I have been saving a larger portion of my transfers. My plan for the coming year is to continue saving a portion of my transfers, and once I accumulate enough funds, I hope to be able to build and gift my mother the three-bedroom house she truly deserves. Afterwards, I intend to use my transfers to buy dairy cows. I plan to start a business selling milk and also drink some of it to improve the nutrition in our diets. I am hopeful that these dreams will come true, and I am deeply grateful for the opportunity I have been given. This support is helping me work towards a better future for my family, and I feel truly blessed."

"Now that i have completed building my house, I am looking forward to celebrating the Christmas holidays with my family. For this month, I want to use my transfers to make our holiday special, bringing happiness to my family by buying and preparing special food for them and giving thanks to God for all the blessings we have received. Thereafter, for the coming years and beyond, my focus is on securing my children’s education. To achieve this, I plan to use a section of my transfers to buy goats, with the hope that they will multiply, increasing both in number and value. As my children transition to higher levels of education in the future, I hope to sell some of the goats to support their schooling and help them reach their full potential. I am truly grateful for this support. It has given me the opportunity to work toward securing a better future for my family, and I am thankful for the chance to make positive changes in our lives."

"In the coming year and beyond, my primary focus is to build a spacious one-room house with a verandah. Our current house is quite small, and with two boys who are growing very fast, it is becoming clear that they will soon need their own space and privacy. It is important to me that they have a room where they can relax and have some privacy, and I want to provide them with that. To make this possible, I have been saving a portion of my transfers in a merry-go-round group, and I plan to continue saving more. When my turn comes to receive the pooled funds, I will use them to build the house I have in mind. Once the new house is built, my husband and I will move into it, and we will leave our current home for the boys. After the house is built, I also plan to use a portion of my transfers to buy goats. I hope that these goats will multiply, and in the future, I will be able to trade some of them for cows. The cows will also multiply, and I will be able to sell them to pay for my children's school fees as they continue their education and progress to higher levels. I am optimistic that we will achieve this goal, and I am very grateful for this support. It has given me the opportunity to work towards securing a better future for my family, and I feel hopeful for what lies ahead."

"I am currently enrolled in a carpentry course, and my plan for the coming year and beyond is to continue using my transfers from GiveDirectly to support myself in terms of both education and livelihood until I complete my course and acquire the necessary skills. I am supposed to complete my course next year in August and once I complete it, I have a clear plan to start my workshop. However, I know that achieving this will require a great deal of commitment and hard work. I already have a toolbox with some basic tools, but I plan to gradually add more tools to it using a portion of my transfers. In addition to this, I also plan to use another portion of my transfers to buy goats. I hope that these goats will multiply, and I will have a larger herd in the future where I will sell some of them and use the proceeds to start my workshop. This workshop will help me support my siblings in their education, ensuring they have the same opportunities I have. I am truly grateful for this support. It has given me the chance to work towards my dreams and make a better future for myself and my family."

"I am on a journey to build a new house for my family. The house that we currently live in is very small and with a grass roof, which leaks terribly when it rains making it very uncomfortable for us. This has made me long for a better living situation for my family. With the transfers I have received in the past, I have already started purchasing building materials, and my plan for this year is to continue using a portion of my transfers to buy more materials. I am determined to see this new house built, and I am optimistic that it will provide us with a more comfortable and secure place to live. Once the house is completed, I plan to use another portion of my transfers to buy goats. I hope that these goats will multiply, increasing in both number and value. My goal is that, when this program comes to an end, I can sell some of the goats to fund my children’s education and secure their future. I am truly grateful for the support I have received from GiveDirectly. It has allowed me to work towards creating a better life for my family, and I feel hopeful for the future."

"My children's education is extremely important to me, and with six of them currently in school, I am committed to supporting them throughout their educational journey. To achieve this, my plan is to continue using my transfers to pay their school fees, ensuring they can continue their studies without interruption. Two of my children are nearing the completion of their secondary education, and once they graduate, the financial burden will lessen, providing me with some relief. After that, I plan to set aside a portion of my transfers to save. Once I have accumulated enough, my goal is to start a grocery shop. This will allow me to create a safety net, providing a steady income that will support my family, especially when this program comes to an end. I am deeply grateful for this support, as it has given me the opportunity to work towards securing a better future for my children and my family. I am truly thankful for the transfers, which have made a significant difference in our lives."
