"I now do a small business if plaiting people but I feel with more skill I could make more money and start another business to sustain my family. I would like to use my GD transfers to facilitate my schooling. My house is also not in the best of states. Half my roof is iron sheets and the other half is thatched, I would like to improve this. I also want to expand my house from one room to a three roomed house so I can have a kitchen a living room space and the sleeping space separate. I have so far bought five chicken using GD transfers which I hope to increase as the year comes along so I can have so many that I can sell and buy myself a goat."

Kesi
received a $27 tenth payment.
"I live in a one roomed house with my family of seven. It is a situation I am not very proud of. I have always wanted a bigger house to allow my children and us to have our own privacy. I would like to direct a portion of my transfers this year to achieving this goal. My plan is to save about $20 if we have a good food supply so that I can buy materials for the new house. When the house is complete my children will stay in this current house while me and my wife get to move to the new house. My oldest who is now 12years will also get her privacy."

"Selling charcoal is a hectic job that requires alot of moving around and this has been a limiting factor during my time of illness. My plan this year is to get a business that would not require me to move as much as well as have better earnings. I hope to use my GD transfers to start a grocery business whose earnings will go into taking care of the needs at home and educating my 5 children currently at school. I also hope to add some more animals that I aim I will use as my emergency fund. I will buy Goats which I will sell when their is need and they will also reproduce ensuring more goats to sell when their is need."

Umazi
received a $27 sixth payment.
"We have been experiencing a great drought in our area which makes access to food very difficult. I would like to start a business that can sustain us now that my husband is out of work and food prices have been very high. I want to start a grocery business where I will sell groceries and dried fish to make some money to allow us access food now that my husband is out of work. The price of starting the business will be dependent on how much I will get the products for. I also want to buy more goats which I am planning to breed and when they get young ones I will sell them to sort out needs when they come up at home."

"My greatest challenge is poverty, I want to educate my children to school so that they can study and have a brighter future but an stuck with the challenge of school fees.My children are kkq just home because of poverty. The nature of he soil is poor thus crops are easily washed away by water especially when it's raining so one has to depend on buying food."

"My greatest fear is lack of help or aid from any one.I have no one to help with providing basic needs and I am aging. The house I sleep licks during the rainy season. The high poverty puts me in poor healthy condition. There is nothing much I do to provide for my self apart from casual labour.I am hopeless about life due to the many challenges I am facing."
