What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
My biggest challenge is food and housing. We rely on farming but with yearly low harvests, we harvest enough for a few months and then we start looking for casual work and live off hand to mouth. Our house is not in good condition aside being small. It leaks and has cracks. They need to be fixed but we don't have money for that.
What is the happiest part of your day?
When we find money for food and other necessities we feel contented that that day has been conquered. Especially when we find enough money for a bucket of maize that can run up to a week, we are happy that we will eat with no trouble in those days.
What do you plan to do with the cash transfer?
When I receive this money, i will take out my roof and put another one so that I can be permanently done with the leaking. I will also cement the cracks. I will buy food and it makes me happy to know I won't struggle with food anymore. The other will be invested in livestock.
