"The first thing that I did with my money was to immediately send 15,000LRD to the family members in which my children are in care with in Zwedru City so they can pay their school fees. The balance, I used part of it to buy 2 bags of cement while I also keep the balance to add to my next transfer".

"The biggest differences this transfer has done is addressing my children schooling, the completion and renovation of my house and provided for our daily meal intake and the provision of soaps and other household materials".
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
"I was on my way going to the farm when I got the transfer SMS alert. When I saw it, it was a congratulatory message first from GiveDirectly with a transfer amount of 35,625LRD. The moment I saw the transfer, I was so happy till I came back and show the message to my wife and we all bursted into happiness and dances. I have a family size of seven. Three of them are in Zwedru City attending school. The remaining two children are with us also attending the government's school. While dancing, I could image the accompaniment of my cash. I hurriedly attended to my children schooling since they have been complaining about them being put out of classes due to my inability to pay their school fees. The coming of this money is a real breakthrough for my family and I.

What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
Some of the challenges I am facing now is the lack of jobs, and the hard labor farming work I am involved with, just to earn some cash for survival.
What is the happiest part of your day?
For the past six months, we have been living happier with everyone because we are still counted living. Most importantly, the arrival of GiveDirectly I am more than happy today.
What does receiving this money mean to you?
I am living in an incomplete house that's still under construction. If I am bless to benefit from this cash transfer program, I will complete my house that's under construction, and sponsored my kids that's out of school currently.
