Irene
received a $139 initial payment.
"The significant difference between now and before is that I've been able to accomplish a lot in such a short period. I'm glad my dreams have come true without any difficulty. All this has been necessitated by cash transfers. I've been able to pay my son's secondary school fees which would be a challenge before. I am thankful for the assistance that's considerably raised my life and brought us happiness."

Hellen
received a $154 initial payment.
"It was like any other day in Baringo, with a scorching sun. I was relaxing outside of my home after a strenuous day. I got a text message confirmation that I had received my share of the cash transfer. I called my kids and broke the good news to them. They were ecstatic and overjoyed to hear the news. We all knew this would greatly aid us in achieving our objectives. I'm incredibly grateful for the support of the organization that's helped improve our lives."

Kadzo
received a $27 sixth payment.
"It has been eight years since I built the current shelter. Over the period, the grass-thatched roof has worn out, causing water to leak when it rains. As a result, I wish to build a new two-room house, made of mud walls and a tin roof. Approximately, the entire project will cost me $700, which I cannot raise at once. Alternatively, I plan to buy two iron sheets every month until I assemble enough for the construction. Then I will secure more materials like building poles and nails, and later hire someone to take on the exercise. Installing a decent shelter for my family would make them so happy. "

Kahindi
received a $27 fourteenth payment.
"When I first received the cash transfers, I spent most of it on building a concrete pillar around the walls of my house to reinforce it. However, due to pressing financial obligations like food, I was not able to channel every amount toward the renovation of the structure, which left one side of the wall unattended. My prayer is to conclude this project withing the next year so that I can start looking at other things like securing goats and more chickens for rearing. "

Sidi
received a $27 sixth payment.
"After my house developed huge holes in the walls, I was scared to shelter under it and I sought sleeping space at my niece’s house, where I have been staying to date. Before, I lacked the money to build a new house. Gladly, the cash transfers presented an ideal chance to work on the construction project. I have already secured 4 iron sheets through previous transfers. My goal is to assemble the building materials like tree poles and iron sheets, then hire someone later to construct the two-room house. "

Jumwa
received a $27 sixth payment.
"I would be relieved if I settled my daughter’s $113 tuition fee debt that has been outstanding since she graduated from high school two years ago. Her father, who is our breadwinner, is burdened with clearing the balances of three other children who completed school as well. I hope to lift the weight off his shoulders by supporting him with my daughter’s balance. To accomplish this, I was motivated to start raising poultry that I could sell and generate the required amount. Although 30 of the chicks perished from a pox disease, I hope that the remaining flock will survive through the challenges. I want my child to finally get her secondary school academic certificate. "

Dorcus
received a $27 tenth payment.
"Since I already do leafy vegetable vending, I aim to put up a structure where I will be selling instead of moving from house to house. The tendency of moving is limiting me in carrying huge luggage as well as different grocery items. By having the structure, it will give me room of selling different goods in addition to the leafy veggies with the likes of fruits and berries"

Dama
received a $27 sixth payment.
"My main aim is to ensure I give quality education to my children. Since I involve myself in the firewood business apart from the monthly transfers, I believe I will make it. Despite the hardship I go through, I have not fallen out of faith. I am very optimistic that I will manage to fulfill the desires of their hearts through determination and financial discipline by committing some amount from the transfers and saving for them."

Kabunda
received a $27 sixth payment.
"In the near future, I hope to build a new house for my children. I have lately been thinking about putting up one because mine is small. This has forced some of my children to shelter at their grandfather's house, which is not very spacious. I feel that once I succeed, they will have their privacy and there will be no more humiliation."
