Jumaa
received a $26 second payment.
"Although I run a barbershop that sustains our nutritional needs, I feel the daily profits are insufficient to help me undertake other projects. Therefore, I hope that as the year progresses, I will accomplish my goal of getting a new shop for electrical and electronic services. I am an electrician, and making use of that skill will be more rewarding than working in a barbershop. It is an important business that has not been considered for investment by many people from my village hence full of potential."

Foleni
received a $26 fourteenth payment.
"The situation in our area has worsened due to the unending drought scenario experienced in the past seasons. Consequently, there has been a low rate of casual jobs. Because I do not have an alternative source of income, I hope to be spending my transfers on my children's school fees. I hope to accomplish this goal so that my children can always have adequate time in school to focus on their studies. It will help me to pay school fees for my children. In addition, I will focus on ensuring that we have a steady food supplier."

Sidi
received a $26 fourteenth payment.
"As I said a large percentage of my income goes into taking care of my children's school fees. I have four children two are in school, grade 6 and class 8, one finished class 8 but is yet to join any further learning institution and my last born is still so young and not in school. My goal this year is to ensure the children in school stay in school using these transfers. My husband has a job but his income is not sufficient and this is why I would want to ensure that whatever I can do with my GD transfers to ensure my children do not miss out on an education I will. I also intend to use these transfers to continue saving in my savings as this money will eventually come to me as a big amount when it's my turn to receive the cash."

Dhahabu
received a $26 fourteenth payment.
"I haven't had a chance to think of a goal for the year. I however know that I want to add to the five chickens I purchased. I have always wanted goats and chicken that are multiplying and I can sell to add more animals maybe a cow. I will spare some money throughout the year if things are not as hard and buy more animals so that I will have a big herd of goats and a large number of chicken at the end of the day."

Furaha
received a $26 second payment.
"My greatest goal is to start a chicken-rearing project. I would like to have as many chicken as possible so that in the near future, I would no longer have challenges when it comes to getting food and paying school fees for my children because the sales from the chicken would be a great income. I plan to buy 2 chicken every month worth $10 with the transfers that I’ll still be receiving and at the end of a certain period, I would have attained my target of the number of poultry I plan to have."

Amani
received a $26 tenth payment.
"After I am done with my house construction. My goal is to start a livestock-rearing project in the next few months. I would want to have goats, chicken and cows so that I become one of the greatest livestock keepers in the area. To achieve this, I would want to ensure that I buy at least one goat per month costing $25 and within a year, I know I would have around 12 goats which I would later sell part of them to buy cattle and chicken."

Jeniffer
enrolled.
"The drought has been extreme. For the last 6 years, I haven't grown on our land and harvested. We mainly depend on casual jobs which are difficult to come during dry seasons. When lucky, you get paid $2 a day. Since items are very expensive, that can hardly sustain us for two days. This has made our lives hard. Putting food on the table is quite difficult."

"As a mother, I believe that everything I do will either lead to success of my family or it's downfall. My husband has no job to do and all he does is just move up and down in search of a good job to at least get something that can sustain us. I would want to start my business where I will be selling packed sugar to the locals living in my village. I really thought of what to do with the little that I have because it's better to do something than to do nothing at all. I have really been planning for everything and I did not just think of the idea but I also have saved like $9 that can at least help in starting my business. The business needs like $30 to start and I believe that I will make huge profits from my sales immediately when I start it, and it will help in paying my children fees and they can complete their primary and high school without a lot of challenges."
